:: AI in School Education (For Teachers)


 

Introduction to the basics of artificial intelligence, its capabilities and limitations in school education
With the introduction of generative artificial intelligence, which is able to perform many knowledge-based tasks based on large language models, serious changes have been made in the field of knowledge-based work, of which school education is one of the aspects. With such models and chatbots based on artificial intelligence, students and teachers have the possibility to solve various problems, develop ideas, automate some processes, etc.

These changes are so serious that universities and educational institutions in different countries are trying to create a space for teachers to learn artificial intelligence. Also, the spread of these tools has led to serious concerns about different uses by students, such as cheating.

In this workshop, we intend to answer three big questions: 1) How do today's artificial intelligences work, especially large language models? 2) What facilities can these models create for use in school education and to facilitate and improve the work of teachers? 3) What are the biggest challenges of using this artificial intelligence in education and what solutions can be considered for it?

In this workshop, which will be held for four hours, we are trying to investigate these questions in an interactive and problem-oriented way.
